How do we calculate planetary hours.
Just as we have 12 hours in a day, we also have 12 planetary hours in a day, and likewise 12 planetary hours at night.
The length of days varies, and so length of night. Sometimes we have longer days and shorter night. Sometimes we have shorter days and longer nights. While during equinox, we have equal length of day and night.
Planetary hour during the day start from sunrise till sunset. That of night start from sunset to sunrise.
Each planetary hour is approximately 1 hour. Presently in Abuja, as at 18th December 2024, each planetary hour is 58 minutes. (We are approaching equinox), this means that we have slightly shorter days.
It might not be easy to calculate manually. There are many websites dedicated to calculate planetary hours based on location. Example is
